Good question. Very good question indeed!
Why keep it a holyday? What could be the content of speeches given on March
26th from now on?
I also wonder who elseis left in jail in Mali. As Cisse from Czech Republic
put it, what kind of people are we if we can't carry out simple justice? Why
would a man sit in prison for beating his wife or breaking into a grocery
store when the one who was tried and CONVICTED of manslaughter is offered
luxury at the expense of taxpayers? This man's conviction still stands as
far as I know. He has shown no remorse, expressed no apologies to no one.
What kind of people are we then?
The answer is simple: the same as we've always been. A highly discriminating
society where literally everything in or on a person is a basis for social
and legal discrimination. And that is the core reason of all the woes that
haunted the continent from long before slavery to today.
A People with no sens of justice is headed nowhere.
That's how I see it.
